LINDA Nolan has shaved her head after she started losing her hair amid her cancer battle.

The 64-year-old discovered her cancer had spread to her brain back in March and made the decision to take back control as she undergoes gruelling chemotherapy.

Linda told the Mirror: “My friend who is a hairdresser came round and just shaved it. Then I said "Get me a cap, we’re going out for a drink!"

“I just feel, because I’ve been having steroid treatment as well and my face is swollen, I look like Mrs Potato Head.”

She added: “People say, ‘Well you know you look great’, but inside I’m screaming ‘I just don’t want to lose my hair again!’ I was devastated at losing it.”

Linda was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2005 and given the all-clear the next year.

But in March 2017, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer which was identified after it spread to her hip, following a fall.

Doctors confirmed they could see no cure - and in May 2020 that it had also spread to her liver.

Linda revealed the cancer had spread once again on Good Morning Britain earlier this year.

She said: "I want to tell you, sadly for me, my cancer has spread to my brain.

"It's very frightening. There isn't much help for brain cancer.

"But I'm not giving up, I'm positive."

Linda said she was given the diagnosis after suffering three nasty falls as she struggled with her balance.

She is now living with her sister Denise and being supported by her family, including Loose Women star Coleen.
