Jamie Waylett looked to have the world at his feet when he landed the role of Draco Malfoy's crony Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies. He appeared in all of the first six films and had a bond with the entire cast as he was recognised around the world by adoring fans. More roles were expected, but one day things totally changed.
In 2009, he lost his role in the cult franchise after he was caught growing cannabis plants in his home. He was sentenced to 120 hours community service and it marked the beginning of the end of his time on screen. Worse was still to come. He was jailed for two years in 2012 after being found guilty of violent disorder when he swigged from a bottle of champagne stolen during the London riots. He was pictured holding a petrol bomb, though he was cleared of intending to destroy or damage property.
These days he looks a lot different and his life has taken a whole new direction. From 2001 to 2009 he was a familiar face but two decades since the magical world of Harry Potter enchanted audiences worldwide, his life took an unexpected turn. It became evident that Jamie struggled with the trappings of fame and reportedly turned to cannabis as an escape. Despite his early success in the wizarding world, the actor's life seemed to spiral out of control.
In recent times, however, Jamie has taken steps towards rebuilding his life. Spotted offering personal video messages on the popular celebrity website, Cameo, for fans and loved ones. Speaking on his page, the actor said: "What's going on people, it's your boy Jamie Waylett. The video sees the actor sporting a face tattoo, showing a string of different sized stars above his eyebrow.
