Ryan Gosling issued a special message for singer Jimin and offered the BTS member a "prized possession" ahead of the release of the Barbie movie.
The actor, 42, plays Ken in the highly-anticipated film - directed by Greta Gerwig - in which his co-star Margot Robbie portrays the iconic fashion doll.
Among his character's looks in the film is a western-inspired emsemble that includes a black shirt with white fringe detail and matching embelishments around the neckline.
Ryan has however now stated that Jimin, 27, wore the outfit first. Jimin wore a similar shirt in the music video for BTS' single Permission to Dance, which was released in 2021.

He said in the video message: "Hi Jimin, it's Ryan Gosling here. I noticed that your Permission to Dance outfit was the same as my Ken outfit in the upcoming movie Barbie."
Ryan went on to compliment the singer by saying that he "wore it best". He commented in the clip: "I have to give it to you; you wore it first [and] you definitely wore it best."
The recent video saw Ryan continue by saying: "And there's an unspoken Ken code that if you bite another Ken's style, you have to give them your most prized possession."
He was subsequently seen holding up a black and white guitar that was adorned with Ken's name and imagery of a white horse, as well as further decoration on instrument.
Ryan further said: "So I hope you'll accept Ken's guitar as my humble offering." He added: "Besides, Ken doesn't really play anyway, so it'll be much better in your hands."

Another person responded: "I need to see Jimin with the guitar immediately". Whilst someone else tweeted over it: "This is definitely the best thing I've seen all day".
"What an honorable thing for [Ryan] to do. I'm sure [Jimin] will be thrilled that he recognized him with the matching outfits," another person tweeted following the recent video.

Others responded by sharing photos of Jimin edited into promotional material for the film, as well as edits of the trailer with his song Like Crazy having been placed in it.
