Trafford residents have been told to evacuate after a man was pronounced dead following a suspected carbon monoxide leak in Manchester.
Police, fire crews and ambulances all attended the scene on May Walk, Trafford, and were joined by Cadent gas engineers - with multiple properties cordoned off.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
Residents were told to evacuate their homes after a carbon monoxide test. One resident told Manchester Evening News she was told to “close the door” by officers.
The officers returned five minutes later and conducted carbon monoxide tests, before the family were asked to leave.

Residents were left confused as emergency services arrived all at once. (MEN Media)"They did some checks round the rooms with a carbon monoxide alarm. There was nothing there, but in the attic it started beeping, that's why we were told to leave," she said.
Four fire engines arrived at 10:30am, and two remained throughout the day. The cordon remained manned by police as the gas engineers assessed the area.
Another resident who lives opposite says her 11-year-old son witnessed the attempts to resuscitate the man - a scene she describes as “pretty devastating”.
“We heard all the fire engines and ambulances come this morning. We were asking 'what's going on', but at the time nobody knew anything,” she said.

"I was just wondering what was going on. It's not that uncommon round here to be fair, I knew something was going on," said one neighbour who was arriving home as the fire crews arrived.
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas which is colourless, odourless and tasteless - but can make you seriously ill if you breathe too much of it in.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man died despite the efforts of emergency services. His family have been made aware and are being supported.
The man’s age has not been confirmed.
