PRINCESS Anne could be in hot water after her English Bull Terrier attacked a dog during a Royal Family pheasant shoot, an insider claimed.

Royals were stunned when Anne’s pet apparently sank its teeth into a gamekeeper’s dog and bit its ear at Sandringham.

Both dogs are thought to have survived but there was “a lot of blood and screaming” on the Boxing Day shoot, The Sun can reveal.

An insider said: “The Boxing Day shoot’s a huge family affair so Anne took along her dog. It ran across the field straight at the gamekeeper’s dog and latched on to its ear.

“The Bull Terrier really went at it in a frenzy.

“There was a lot of blood and a lot of screaming and a lot of shouting. It took a while to get the dog off the ear because it had really sunk its teeth in.

“Everyone was OK in the end but the atmosphere was extremely tense afterwards for some time.

“A good few people questioned what if it had been Charlotte or George or any of the children instead of another dog?”

The Princess Royal, 72, was the first royal to be convicted in court when she admitted a charge under the dangerous dogs act 21 years ago.

Her English Bull Terrier called Dotty bit two children.

A year later another of Anne’s terriers, called Florence, attacked one of the Queen’s corgis which had to be put down.

Norfolk Police and the RSPCA have received no reports or complaints about the new alleged dog incident, The Sun understands.
