Horrifying moment thief steals woman's purse as she suffers medical emergency

Shocking video has captured the moment a woman says she had a seizure, losing control of her car and slamming it into a restaurant.

However, that wasn't the end of her ordeal as a thief went on to take advantage of her situation.

Natasha Osborn's seizure caused her to lose control of her car and run into a restaurant in south Minneapolis. The first thing she remembers after the seizure is being spoken to by the ambulance driver.

"The ambulance driver told me to calm down, sit down. You were in a really bad accident. You hit a building," she recalled.

"I just remember taking a left turn on Lake Street and after that, the next thing I remember is waking up in the back of an ambulance and the police officer telling me that my brother had my purse," she said.

But there was one small problem. Her brother was nowhere near the area.

Natasha recovered from her injuries and went to the site of the crash to find her phone. But she ended up finding there was an even bigger issue.

"I seen a whole bunch of charges from Capital One, my Target card and from my bank," she said. "And when I looked them up, it looked like, within ten minutes of me having the seizure and crashing into the building, they were racking up charges on all of my bank cards and credit cards."

Natasha went to the restaurant which gave her video footage showing bystanders trying to help. However, one can be seen reaching into her car and taking the purse.

"It's unbelievable how evil people can be," Natasha said. "'Cause I'm in the driver's side fighting for my life and he doesn't call 911. He wants to know what I have in my purse instead."

But for Natasha, it isn't even about the cash or cards. It's the irreplaceable photos of her children.

"Those things... they mean the world to me and they might not mean anything to anybody else but they mean everything to me," Natasha explained.

Natasha had crashed into the Los Ocampo restaurant just before 2pm on Thursday, August 3, which is when her purse was taken. She's now appealing for help in trying to get it back, and anyone with information is being urged to contact the Minneapolis Police Department.

Glass doors and windows at the restaurant were shattered with some window frames appearing to have been ripped out of place. As a safety precaution, the fire department evacuated people from the building to ensure it was structurally sound following the crash.

Natasha was taken to hospital by paramedics after the crash where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
