Self-confessed “serial relationshipper” Lily James is back in her comfort zone. The Mamma Mia actress has quietly rekindled her romance with Queens of the Stone Age rocker Michael Shuman, just months after they decided to go their separate ways.
Loved-up Lil was seen supporting her man backstage at last month’s Glastonbury Festival, which clearly holds a special place in their hearts. Last June, the lovers watched as Sir Paul McCartney headlined the Pyramid Stage and even sparked engagement rumours after Lily was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
A source says: “Lily and Mikey have always adored each other and have lots of fun together. Time apart has made them realise how much they missed each other and now they’re picking up where they left off. They looked close at Glasto. Neither is putting any pressure on it – they’re just seeing how it goes.”
Lily was first linked to bassist Michael when they were pictured kissing outside a boutique hotel in Suffolk on Valentine’s Day 2021. At the time, Lily was filming marriage rom-com, What’s Love Got To Do With It? But in February, she opened up about her dating woes when the couple split after two years.
Speaking on Capital UK, she said: “I cringe at most things I do. I’ve been a sort of serial relationshipper, so I’ve not had any crazy dating stories. However, I did go on my mate’s Hinge the other day and I just despaired. I mean, come on!”

Lily previously dated The Crown actor Matt Smith for five years. They split in late 2019. She was also linked to married actor Dominic West while filming The Pursuit of Love. Sounds like her own pursuit of love might now be over…
