A devastated Mary Earps was consoled by her Lioness teammates on the full-time whistle after England lost the Women's World Cup final.
England fell to defeat in their first-ever final which ended with a 1-0 scoreline and number one keeper Mary Earps had the tournament of her life - but she couldn't stop England's loss on Sunday.
The shot-stopper was in pieces on the full-time whistle as some of her England teammates came from the bench to console her.
Earps has overcome hurdles in her career so far, and she has saved the Lionesses numerous times with outstanding saves not just across this tournament but in every international game she has played.
Earps, who received the Golden Glove award was praised by former England goalkeeper David Seaman for her performance during the Women’s World Cup, as the Lionesses had to settle for second place.

He tweeted: “What a spectacular women’s World Cup and what a tournament @maryearps027 has had!! “SOOO proud of the #Lionesses.”
As she went to collect her trophy for the Golden Glove award, through agonising pain, she did well to take hold of it through the upset and the few thousand England fans still in the stadium roared as she was announced as the winner of the award.

Sarina Wiegman told the BBC post-match: "It feels bad now, what we have done, how we have shown ourselves, who we are, overcome so many challenges, I think we can be very proud of ourselves - even if it doesn't feel that way now."
