It looks like Natalie Portman and her husband, Benjamin Millepied's marriage is on the rocks as the two look unhappy walking around Paris without their wedding rings.
The couple was in the French capital taking their children to their first day of school. Their two children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, six, were seen walking between their parents in photos. The married duo were also seen standing far apart and not holding hands during their walk. Noticeably, there weren't any wedding rings in sight.
Natalie looked somber as she walked, wearing light blue shorts, a white and green graphic t-shirt, grey running trainers, and a crossbody bag. Her French dancer husband wore a white t-shirt, blue patterned scarf, dark blue trousers, trainers, and a crossbody bag that was hanging behind him. Both had sunglasses on as well, but Natalie's was darkly tinted while Benjamin's weren't. Benjamin was also seen carrying his youngest's backpack.
The state of their relationship is unclear, but it's speculated the duo is headed for a divorce as last month it was reported that Benjamin had an affair with a 25-year-old climate activist, Camille Etienne. Photos were released of the two leaving his office building together.
Natalie and Benjamin were spotted at the FIFA Women's World Cup Final with their son, Aleph, on 22 August in Sydney, Australia. The Black Swan actress was seen hugging her son, but there was no physical touch between her and her husband. Relationship expert Luella Alderson told the Mirror that it will take a lot of effort on Benjamin's part to win back Natalie's trust if they want to save the relationship. "Trust takes time to rebuild, and it requires consistent effort. If the cheating allegations are true and they want to work it out, Natalie needs to be receptive to Benjamin's efforts and he needs to be willing to show her that he's committed through his actions," she said.
Ryan Reynolds in talks with Hollywood pal Natalie Portman over Wrexham meeting"Reconciliation after infidelity is a complex process that involves various factors, such as rebuilding trust over time and effective communication. For some couples, it's possible to reconcile and rebuild a healthy relationship," Luella added, "But other couples find it too difficult to repair the relationship after an affair."
By taking their son to the match, and even taking their children to school recently, Natalie and Benjamin could have also been trying to maintain a healthy environment for their children. "Maintaining normalcy and stability in a child's life is important, regardless of the parent’s relationship status," Luella said.
Natalie and Benjamin met in 2009 while onset filming Black Swan. The two married in 2012 in California.
