Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helder has married his girlfriend, Amanda Blank, according to the rapper's Instagram page.
The drummer from Sheffield, 37, and Sweetheart star, 40, from Philadelphia have been dating for three years. The couple are said to have got hitched on the weekend with Amanda alluding to the nuptials on Instagram as she posted a snap of herself and Matt sharing a kiss. Captioning the image with a ring emoji, the performance art rapper wrote: "I really love you the most."
Responding to the post, Matt teased: "Can you believe it? Trouble and strife!" Sharing the photo, the R U Mine? star added: "I've never been happier!!!" The Mirror has contacted Matt's reps for comment.
The post comes four years after Matt divorced his first wife, Breana McDow, with whom he shares daughter, Amelia Darling, seven. The former couple started dating in 2011 and confirmed their engagement in 2013 before exchanging vows in at a lavish reception in Italy three years later.
Matt, who announced plans for a solo album in October, is one of the founding members of the Arctic Monkeys, who he's recorded six studio albums with. He makes up the quartet with Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Alex Turner. Like Matt, Alex is also said to have tied the knot in secret. The frontman, who previously dated Alexa Ching, sparked a marriage mystery with his French girlfriend, Louise Verneuil.
Taylor Swift seen looking cosy with Matty Healy's mum Denise Welch months agoThe lovebirds have largely flown under the radar during their five-year romance, but photos recently emerged of the singer-songwriter wearing a ring on her wedding finger. One picture handed to The Mirror in June, taken last year, shows Louise wearing a simple gold band while eating an ice cream. Another black and white snap shows the brunette wearing the ring as she snogs Mardy Bum star Alex in a tent at a friend’s wedding.
We understand the notoriously private pair, who split their time between London and Paris, secretly got engaged a year after they met. In an interview at the time, Louise said their relationship made her the target of misogynistic hate on Instagram. It is believed that is why she prefers to keep her love life out of the spotlight and doesn’t wear her wedding band in public or on social media.
Alex and Louise were first spotted together in 2018 when the Arctic Monkeys were touring their Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino album.
