After allegedly showing up to Drew Barrymore's neighborhood, her stalker was reportedly taken into custody. The arrest comes two days after the man rushed the stage while Drew Barrymore was doing a speaking engagement.

During the original incident, security guards were able to hold the man back. He yelled: "You know who I am. I need to see you at some point while you're in New York."

Before being rushed off the stage with singer Renee Rapp, Drew acknowledged the man and said: "Oh my god, yes? Hi!" The neighbourhood he was reportedly 'going door-to-door' at was in Southhampton. Luckily, Drew was reportedly not home while he was there the New York Post reported.

The publication said that the man was wandering the neighborhood in search of Drew's estate. He allegedly
"walked onto some steps outside". Law enforcement told TMZ that there was an "ongoing investigation" into the situation.

This alleged stalking situation comes immediately following Drew opening up about her struggles with her mother. She became incredibly candid about their difficult relationship.

She told New York magazine: "I don't want to live in a state where I wish someone to be gone sooner than they're meant to be so I can grow. I actually want her to be happy and thrive and be healthy. But I have to f***ing grow in spite of her being on this planet."

Drew also recently made headlines when she decided to strike in solidarity with WGA and SAG-AFTRA. Although she was supposed to host the 2023 MTV Movie & tV Awards, she stepped down from that role to show her support. She told Variety: "I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike.

She stepped down pretty humbly, even thanking MTV for choosing her to host. The Hollywood icon added: "And I can’t wait to be a part of this next year, when I can truly celebrate everything that MTV has created, which is a show that allows fans to choose who the awards go to and is truly inclusive."
