For many people, one of the many positive things about the start of a new year means not having to worry about Christmas presents for around 11 months.

However, some resourceful people take the opportunity to start their Christmas shopping early while there are huge sales on.

Despite being a busy mum-of-six, one woman is so organised she's already bought and wrapped presents for next Christmas. Mum Tina took to the Magical Holidays of Christmas group on Facebook to share a picture of eight wrapped presents on New Year's Eve, all with name tags.

She wrote: "Some Christmas presents for 2023 bought and wrapped to be organised like I used to be as I have six adult children, 16 grandchildren [and] then all the birthdays in between."

Tina has also bought a Christmas card and two Christmas Eve boxes for herself and her youngest daughter, a pair of matching pyjamas, wrapping paper, money wallets and tree ornaments.

The mum will be writing down all the gifts and who they are for in a notebook, so she doesn't forget. By continuing to be organised, Tina hopes to be finished with time to spare before next Christmas. She said: "I hope to be finished by the end of November."

Many people were impressed that Tina had managed to start her Christmas shopping already, with one person saying: "Wow that's good. I can't even think of getting anything now till next September. I've got four children, seven grandkids but I normally get it done within plenty of time, it's birthdays that I've now got to think of."

Another said: "Your organisation skills are inspiring."

"Wow, 16 grandchildren! No wonder you are so organised," added a third.

There were also those who shared Tina's enthusiasm for starting early, with one person saying: "I already got my husband’s family taken care of for 2023. 10 adults done. I just need three nieces, one nephew and my [mother-in-law] and I'm done with his side."

"I'm doing the same thing for 2023, so many to buy for just for Christmas, plus my two kids have big birthdays and my big birthday too," commented another.

However, for others even the thought of starting Christmas shopping brings about dread. "This all gives me a panic mode. I must de stress before I can start again. Good luck to all," said one.
