Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms, the quiet Scottish village of Braemar becomes a beacon for visitors all around the world when it hosts the September Highland Games.
Despite living in Scotland for years, this is the first time Hamza has been able to visit the Games at Braemar.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7st“I love the Highland Games and visiting Braemar today fulfils a longstanding ambition,” Hamza gushed at the beginning of the episode as he ticked off a major bucket list item.
The presenter was in his element as he discussed some of the best parts of Scottish culture and wildlife.
Unfortunately, some viewers felt the episode ended on a sour note, as after Hamza had finished speaking and began walking away from the camera, a gentleman crossed his path, looked over at Hamza, and shook his head.
Viewers thought the unknown man looked disgruntled and was shaking his head at the Countryfile presenter’s appearance.
Hamza didn’t notice he had his back to the man, but the camera caught the moment which came just before the credits began to roll.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss what they’d just witnessed, one viewer commented: “Anyone see that old bloke shake his head at the end? Hope he wasn’t doing so to Hamza.”
“Countryfile ending on a disgruntled note as local registers disgust at man in kilt,” a second viewer posed.
A third said: “I hope it wasn’t what it looks like, but it probably was. Random old white guy at the Highland games, glances at Hamza Yassin on Countryfile and shakes his head!”
While a fourth added: “Unpleasant & unnecessary, particularly towards the lovely Hamza.”
“We rewound it twice as we couldn’t believe what we’d seen!” commented a fifth viewer.
Ola and James Jordan detail how weight loss has reignited their sex life“Yes! I thought I was seeing things. What the hell was that about?!” a sixth viewer chimed in.
“I also shockingly noticed that, and I sadly suspect it was Hamza’s long hair, and not the kilt given many men there were wearing a kilt. I absolutely love Hamza. He comes across as a beautiful human being,” another replied.
Countryfile continues on Sunday on BBC One at 8pm.
