A NEIGHBOURS star looked unrecognisable as he admitted he’s lost friends, doesn’t trust anyone and has social anxiety following his sex assault court case.

TV heartthrob Craig McLachlan has been taking part in SAS Australia, and the 58-year-old addressed his indecent assault trial while sporting shaggy hair and a grey beard.

The actor was awarded more than £250,000 after he was cleared of seven sex and assault charges.

Craig played hunky Henry Ramsay from 1987 to 1989 and believes he was shunned from the show after it caved into "cancel culture".

On SAS, he confessed that he now struggles to trust women, after being cleared of several serious charges.

He told host Ant Middleton: “When I started on Neighbours, I was in people's lounge rooms night after night, day after day.

“But there was something that happened about five years ago that was shocking for the public and shocking for me.

“Craig McLachlan, disgraced actor. Workplace bully, monster. So I'm here to exorcise some pretty extreme pain with some pretty extreme pain.

“I find it very difficult to trust situations where there are a lot of people, especially women.”

The actor admitted he suffers from “extreme social anxiety” now too.

Craig continued: “I'm more anxious about being in a new group of people than I am about climbing up the side of a mountain. I know that sounds bizarre, but for me, I'm afraid it's true.

“People who only months before looked me in the eye and said you create the most wonderful work environments imaginable... abandonment, total abandonment.

“A tiny handful of courageous people I have friendships with over 30 years were always there, but the vast majority - gone."

Craig shot to fame with his stint on Neighbours - where he was the brother of Charlene Robinson, who was played by pop icon Kylie Minogue.

He later starred in Home and Away as Grant Mitchell.

The star then went on to launch a pop career - landing a Top Ten hit named Mona.

On January 11, 2019, Craig was charged with assault and sex offences on four women dating back to 2014.

The allegations were said to have come from when he was in the Australian production of The Rocky Horror Show.

He faced one count of common law assault, eight counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted indecent assault.

However, he was cleared of the charges the following year.
