RETIRED US soccer icon Michael Bradley has a more-than-accomplished wife by his side.

Amanda Barletta Bradley, the wife of Michael, is a former tennis player.

A native of New Jersey, Barletta attended the University of Rhode Island, where she was part of the college's tennis team.

During her college years, she dated Bradley, who was an emerging professional soccer player and played in the German Bundesliga.

Amanda posted an 18-4 singles record.

In doubles, she accumulated a 24-6 record.

And Barletta won the singles title and doubles title at the New England Championship.

She had massive wins in matches against Fordham, Bucknell, Quinnipiac, NJIT, and George Washington.

After her sophomore season, Amanda quit the sport of tennis.

She married Bradley in 2011 at the Trump Country Club after he had played with the United States men's national team in the Gold Cup.

They have lived in Italy, Germany, and Canada.

The couple has a son, who was born in 2012, and a daughter, who was born in 2014.

Bradley is the captain of the MLS team Toronto FC.

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

He made over 150 appearances for the United States men's national soccer team.

During his MLS career, Bradley played in three MLS Cup Finals — winning one.
