Following Wolfe-Herd's departure from Tinder, she launched Bumble in December 2014.
The tech entrepreneur founded the dating app to allow women to have more control over their online experience.

"It’s not a dating app, it’s a movement," Wolfe-Herd explained to the abovementioned outlet.

Why did Wolfe-Herd step down as Bumble CEO?
On November 6, 2023, Wolfe-Herd announced she was stepping down from her role as Bumble's CEO.
As Wolfe-Herd vacated her position as CEO, she was succeeded by Slack executive Lidiane Jones.
Although she has stepped down as CEO, she remains the company's executive chair.
In a statement, she revealed: "This move to Executive Chair gives me the ability to step forward into a new and exciting role, get back to my founder roots, and bring immense passion and focus to this next chapter of growth.
"Lidiane's expertise and track record in product and technology is exceptional."
