Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon has shared some thrilling news that has left her fans buzzing with anticipation.
The Rip Off Britain presenter, who has been paired with Kai Widdrington on the glitzy BBC competition, announced on Instagram that she will be joining the Strictly Come Dancing tour next year. The update will sees Angela, 79, take the iconic series to several venues across the nation in January.
"I am extremely excited to be joining the Strictly Come Dancing tour," she wrote, before urging her followers to "keep your eyes peeled" for announcements on the show in the coming months. Angela also confirmed she will be joined on the tour by two of her fellow Series 21 contestants, Bad Education star Layton Williams and Coronation Street actor Ellie Leech.

The TV icon landed in dance-off on Sunday for her waltz to Nat King Cole's Fascination, after seemingly failing to wow viewers with her performance. The judges also issued some constructive criticism for Angela, calling for her foot placement to be improved if she made it through to another week.
After surviving the dreaded dance-off against Emmerdale's Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk on Sunday, Angela appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two on Tuesday night. "Oh it was really upsetting," she told host Fleur East, when asked about her difficult week.

"I was cross with myself I think, because, clearly, I hadn't done everything that Kai had been drumming into me during the week. But at the same time the upside to that is we got to dance it again and normally, of course, you don't. It was lovely to be able to do it again."

Angela, continuing her Strictly journey, took to Instagram to praise her dance partner ahead of Sunday's results. "Halfway through the series! Such a thrill to dance with my lovely partner @kaiwidd for another week to the most beautiful music from the @bbcstrictly band," she gushed, much to the delight of her 28k followers.
"A real true to watch you dance," one supportive person commented beneath the post, which included several snaps from Angela's performance. "So pleased you're through to next week," another fan wrote.
