Police who launched an appeal for a hunky suspect they've been hunting since December have been swamped with messages from admirers with one woman saying "I'll help you look".
Police released a photo of muscular Robert Rimmer, 37, who is wanted for alleged drug-related offences and warned the public not to approach him. But instead of information about his whereabouts, they were met with a deluge of comments from people swooning over his smouldering mugshot.
One enamoured social media user quipped: "Liked, shared and commented… hope I win." A second woman said: "I'll help you look." And a third replied: "l'll question him in my police fancy dress. Handcuffs at the ready."
Rimmer, originally from Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, is wanted in connection with an ongoing police investigation into drug-related offences in East Yorkshire. He is said to have links to Hull, Cheshire, Liverpool and Blackpool while he's also thought to have connections the Middle East.
It is the second time Humberside Police have appealed for information about his whereabouts. On both occasions they used the same photo of the bearded, tattooed and muscle-bound Rimmer in a tight-fitting grey Nike T-shirt. Their appeal last December was also flooded with hundreds of comments from amorous admirers hoping to catch him before police officers did.

The heartthrob is not the first to attract compliments from a police photo. Jeremy Meeks gained worldwide fame when he was dubbed 'the world's hottest felon' after his custody photo went viral in 2014. Meeks has since swapped a life of crime for the catwalk and has had a baby with billionaire heiress girlfriend Chloe Green.
