Network providers are dropping roval deals ahead of the 2023 Black Friday rush

November is a popular time to buy a new phone for two reasons, it’s only a couple of months after Apple, Samsung, and Google’s flagship new ranges and prices start to drop thanks to the Black Friday shopping season. That’s why it’s no surprise to see data plans from the likes of , , and now , soar to the top of sales.

is the latest network to offer an eye-catching offer for shoppers as it cuts the price of its Unlimited data package by half - yes exactly that, you can now get limitless social media scrolling, playlist shuffling and series streaming for

It comes as rivals Sky Mobile and O2 have cut hundreds of pounds of Samsung and Apple devices by dropping the price of adjacent data packages, but which one is the cheapest option to go for?

EE’s nearly £100 saving comes in on its which would usually cost customers £33 a month on a 24-month contract, or £792 in total. Now it’s up for grabs for just £16.50 a month as it drops the price by half for the first six months of the 24-month plan - so you’ll only pay £693 across the full two years, and endless calls and texts are thrown in too.

The half-price deal is a well known offer from EE and it falls at the same time each year, however missing the boat by a few days will see some users pay a lot more for the exact same product. While it’s not ideal for those on the hunt for a new phone too, as you can get Unlimited data packages thrown into your phone contracts, it’s a no brainer for those who’ve already bought a device outright.

But is it the cheapest price around? It’s a no-brainer for those who’ve already looked at rival options as its biggest monthly amount up for grabs is 100GB, at £36 a month - one of the most expensive options available for shoppers.

That being said, is currently offering more than double the amount of data on its usually 15GB a month package, meaning shoppers can If you’re heading to the checkout with Sky this is the one we’d recommend you go for.

When it comes to full Unlimited SIM-only plans it seems EE’s price isn’t the cheapest after all when compared to fellow provider , as it offers the exact same Unlimited data SIM package for £27.99 a month. At first glance it may look like the more expensive option if you get caught-up in EE’s £16.50 deal logo, however it works out at a total of £671 compared to the full £693 amount at EE.

Finding the best data plan can be a tricky feat, especially as the majority available tie users in for year long plans, so there’s no leeway if you find a better deal along the way.
