Robbie Williams confessed his antics at the height of his career has left him at an all-time low as the Candy singer believes he's going through the "manopause".

Speaking ahead of his big 50th birthday, the chart-topping musician says partying in the nineties and early noughties has made him "f***ing knackered" these days. "The hair is thinning, the testosterone has left the building, the serotonin is not really here and the dopamine said goodbye a long time ago."

Robbie reveals even his kids have noticed a change in his lifestyle, explaining his children say he's become "lazy" after a glistening career in showbusiness. "My daughter says to me, 'Daddy’s lazy'. I don’t like the term 'lazy' as that’s how I was described when I was younger."

"The reality is that I’m just f***ing knackered from what I did to myself in the Nineties and bits of the 2000s," he tells The Sun. Robbie also admits going under the knife and plans for a set of "Turkey teeth", telling the outlet: "I’ve had Botox. I can’t get angry now. And Ayda tells me I could do a bit more. And I will.

"I will get a neck lift too. I’m gifting that to myself next year. I’m going for a consultation around Christmas — my 50th birthday present to myself. I think people’s image of plastic surgery or getting work done is based on bad examples."

Robbie, who's married to actress Ayda Field, has previously got candid about the effects on his sex drive and it's thought he's even more open and honest in his new self-titled documentary on Netflix. He features in a "raw, honest and real" documentary coming soon to Netflix, a programme he says is "like car crash TV". The Angels and Rock DJ hitmaker stars in the four-part self-titled show made up of 'hundreds of hours' of previously unseen footage.

Using 30 years of 'intimate' clips from Robbie's never-seen-before 'personal archives', the hotly anticipated special celebrates the chart-topping artist's 25th solo career anniversary. He's seen in the newly released trailer in old footage.

One opening clip shows a much younger Robbie texting on an old mobile phone as he tells the camera that he "wished" he did "something else for a living". Seemingly filmed moments before he was due out on stage, Robbie's asked if he's "ready".

Cameras cut to Williams in what appears to be modern-day as he quips: "I'm just a k***head from Stoke-on-Trent." Another piece of flashback footage shows Robbie at the height of his fame before he admits: "There was jealousy."

Robbie and his wife Ayda's four children, Teddy, ten, Charlie, eight, Coco, four, and Beau, three, appear to be included in the Netflix documentary. One final scene in the trailer shows the singer talking to one of his younger children.

He tells them: "You'll be able to watch the documentary when you're much older." The youngster is seen asking his dad "what happened?" before he replies: "A lot." The footage cuts to black where a message says the programme is "coming soon".

A press release for the show reads: "Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his solo career, this is the definitive 4-part documentary series on the most successful UK solo artist of all time. Featuring hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archive spanning 30 years."

It adds: "Exclusive access to Robbie and helmed by an acclaimed filmmaking team including Asif Kapadia as an EP; this culture-defining series is the first of its kind to explore the real human being behind the salacious headlines."
