LEGO Fortnite was announced less than a week ago, and we can now explore the world for ourselves.
The new mode is similar to Minecraft with a Lego twist, as a survival crafting mode where you build the world from Lego bricks.

Fortnite had scheduled downtime to help prepare for when the new mode entered the game.
Chespin is the target of 2023’s first community day in Pokémon GoFortnite downtime began on December 7, 2023, at 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am GMT.

Fortnite Downtime: What is Lego Fortnite?
With the servers back online, not only are players be able to enter the usual Battle Royale and No Build modes, but also the new Lego Fortnite mode.
This is completely separate from the other modes currently available in Fortnite, and is instead focused on gathering materials, crafting, and building.
It contains characters from Fortnite designed in the Lego style.
Building is based on Lego blocks rather than the usual wooden structures we’re used to seeing.
The map is also far larger than your standard Fortnite map.
