Denise Van Outen's ex takes savage swipe after her latest heartbreak

Denise Van Outen's ex Eddie Boxshall seemed to take a cheeky swipe at his former Celebrity Gogglebox star girlfriend after learning she'd split from her new beau.

Denise, also a star on Steph's Packed Lunch, was dating property developer Jimmy Barba for 18 months. The West End star explained she and Jimmy were moving on, which came as a bit of a shocker since friends had recently hinted at a possible proposal for the smitten pair who've been friends for years.

Despite claiming they're still good mates - and their kids being pals too - they've decided to part ways. Eddie, who's now seeing someone else said to bear a striking resemblance to Denise, appeared to make light of her recent breakup in what was seen as a sharp dig.

In a statement, Denise told The Sun: "We have decided to part ways, but we remain great friends, and our families and children are still in touch," and following this announcement, Eddie seemed to have a bit of a laugh at his ex's expense. The Essex-based commodities trader shared a clip of Queen's song, Another One Bites the Dust, with the caption: "Next please.....", which was thought to be a jab at his ex Denise.

In January 2022, Denise announced that she and Eddie had parted ways, with Eddie moving out of their Chelmsford home after their relationship ended. Denise alleged in her memoir that Eddie had cheated on her, sparking rumours that she found evidence of his infidelity in the form of photos and Instagram messages on his iPad.

She shed more light on the situation in her new autobiography, A Bit Of Me: From Basildon To Broadway And Back. "Among photos was a screenshot... of a woman's breasts and they definitely weren't mine!" she wrote. The stage star, who had spoken publicly about marrying Eddie several times, added: "Also, there was a flirty text exchange between Eddie and this woman, which, of course, set off alarm bells."

A friend of Denise's also commented on the alleged affair in the same publication: "It's the very last thing she expected to happen. She thought this was forever - but while she has been out at work he's been sat in her home betraying her trust. Denise is both furiously angry and utterly heartbroken. It's the very last thing she expected to happen after she had been so happy with Eddie."
