LEWIS Capaldi has reacted to Brit Award host Mo Gilligan's blunder with a hilarious response.
While hosting the Brit Awards tonight Mo, 34, called Lewis, 26, when introducing his performance.
Mo said: "Lets have another performance, it's a singer-songwriter who is the spirit of the Brit Awards in human form.
"Here with his amazing number one single, Forget Me.
"It's the brilliant...go crazy...it's Sam Capaldi."

Some viewers were less than impressed by the mistake but pop star Lewis clearly saw the funny side.
He shared a snap on Instagram showing his head on a photo of Sam Smith from the red carpet.
Lewis simply captioned it: "Sam capaldi x."
His followers went wild for the response, with one writing: "HOWLING ????????????????????????."
Another said: "This is literally my favorite thing ever."
And a third added: "You’re too funny ????????."
After Lewis' performance, Mo told viewers: "I have to apologise, I did call him Sam. It just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the brit awards, they are not playing around."
Elsewhere it was a big night for Harry Styles who swept the board and won all four awards he was nominated for.
The former One Direction star, 29, triumphed in the categories for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/RnB Act.
