Former The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger has hinted that she and Charles Drury could have a future together.

Lauren and Charles sparked romance rumours in October 2020 when she hinted at a mystery man, who later turned out to be Katie Price's ex-boyfriend. Three months after going public, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child, a daughter named Larose.

But in November 2021 following allegations that he had cheated on her, they decided to call time on their relationship but they later rekindled their romance in the early stages of 2022 when she fell pregnant again. Tragically, Lauren and Charles' second daughter, Lorena, passed away shortly after birth after she was born with two knots in her umbilical cord which was tied around her neck.

But on the day of Lorena's funeral, Lauren was allegedly assaulted by Drury, who was later charged. Earlier this year, in July, he pleaded not guilty. The case was subsequently adjourned to a pre-trial hearing in February of next year, with a trial starting one month later.

Despite this, they co-parent their daughter Larose, two, with Lauren insisting they are "good friends". Speaking in a new interview, she says she will "always love him" but cannot guarantee they will get back together.

Speaking to OK! Magazine following speculation that they are once again back together, Lauren said: "We're not together, we're good friends and we're co-parenting for Larose. We're doing as much as we can together to keep her life normal and that is purely what it is.

"We get on and we've been through so much. I've got a lot of love for him because he is my kid's dad, regardless of whatever happened. I'm trying to do the best I can for Larose, and she loves him. We take her away and do things as a family to keep it normal, but we're not romantically together."

When probed on whether they could get back together, the reality star commented: "Not right now, I don't know what the future holds, I'll always love him. You've got to understand what I've been through – there's that trauma – so it's hard to break away from someone. It's so hard because it’s so wrapped around what happened. I want to get over it and heal, and I look at him as healing things."

A spokesperson for The Metropolitan Police said in July: "A man has appeared in court charged with offences linked to an incident in Upminster. Charles Drury – 25 (25.06.97) of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 14 June charged with assault (ABH) and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour. The charges relate to an incident police were called to in Upminster on 4 August 2022. A woman aged in her 30s was treated for facial injuries."
