He complained of “bullying, harassment and mobbing on an almost industrial scale” and received substantial damages in a settlement with the Isle of Man airport.

Now, he has taken the Department of Infrastructure — which runs the airport — back to court for a personal injury claim.

Jeremy rose to fame as the Russian-speaking ground services manager for Aeroflot in the BBC’s 1996 series Airport, based at London Heathrow.

Afterwards, he presented The Toughest Job in Britain on BBC TV and wrote two books.

But he returned to the air travel business in 2018 as deputy director of the Isle of Man airport in Ronaldsway.

He claims he regularly worked 110 hours a week there.

His advocate, Chris Grimson, told the island’s High Court that the new claim arose from “extreme overwork, lack of support and failure to deal with harassment”.

The DoI argues it should have been included in the tribunal case.
