A STUNNING Porsche owned by a legendary Star Wars actor could now be yours – if you have deep enough pockets.

The enviable 1972 911 Targa currently belongs to Ewan McGregor, who played the younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in the blockbuster sci-fi franchise.

Anyone wanting to get behind the wheel of the flash sports car will not only need a sizeable bank account but they’ll need to get their skates on as the auction only has a few more days to run.

McGregor, along with pal Charley Boorman, drove motorcycles around the world for the docuseries Long Way Round and is well-known for his love of vintage vehicles.

When he appeared on Top Gear in 2022, McGregor said: “I love driving old stuff.”

During that interview he also revealed some of the classic motors he’s owned over the years, including a 1927 Buick Sedan, a 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, as well as the Porsche.

He added: “I love driving that car.”

According to Car and Driver, the star of Trainspotting bought the car in 2020 after it had spent a few decades in storage.

If the photos are anything to go by it would seem the car has been well maintained and looks just as good as it would have done back in the 1970s – although there is one exception - it has a fixed glass rear window instead of the zip-out plastic window found in other early 911 Targas.

It is also fitted out with 15-inch alloy Fuchs wheels.

Under the bonnet is a naturally aspirated 2.4 litre flat-six, producing 130hp.

Inside, the bucket seats have checkered Pepita inserts and the dashboard is fitted out with a Porsche classic radio.

The modern system comes with a digital display, USB and Aux ports and is compatible with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay.

There’s 38,000 miles on the clock, with only 2,000 of those being added by the Scottish actor.

The car’s service records suggest McGregor put in the money to keep the car maintained since he bought it.
