Can you handle this?

Fans were agog at the premiere of Beyonce’s concert documentary, Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce , in LA on Saturday night, but not for the reason you might think.

It wasn’t for the red carpet, turned to chrome in honour of the singer, or even Bey herself who absolutely killed her look with platinum blonde hair and a slinky silver Versace dress with matching latex gloves.

It was because the event was a reunion of sorts of all five original members of Destiny’s Child: Bey, Kelly Rowland , Michelle Williams , LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson .

LeToya and LaTavia left the group acrimoniously in 2000 (and were later replaced by Michelle and a short-lived five month stint from Farrah Franklin ) and the two girls ended up bringing a lawsuit against Bey’s dad-ager Mathew Knowles and their former bandmates for “breach of partnership and fiduciary duties”. This was later dropped and settled out of court, but another lawsuit was filed when the all-girl trio released 2002’s Survivor (with the line: “You thought I wouldn’t sell without you/sold nine million”) and the case was again settled.

So fans were amazed when, on top of them being at the premiere, Beyonce embraced all the women in the film, hinting at new amicability.

She says: “It was like a new birth for us, and a lot of healing.”

One fan said on X: “It warms my heart in a way that can’t even be explained to see all the members of Destiny’s Child together,” and called for a reunion tour.

But despite the film’s love-in, the chances of that happening? Boy, bye.

Jess has never flown Jet 2

Her track Hold My Hand might be played – repeatedly – on every single flight on a particular low-cost airline, but Jess Glynne admits that she’s never, ever flown on Jet 2.

“I’ve never been on it. How mental [is that]?” she told Alan Carr on his Life’s A Beach Podcast, adding: “My voice has not got off – it’s been on there for years.”

Eight long years, actually, since 2015 – not that anyone’s counting – leading to many customers to brand the experience of being forced to listen to the track on the planes as “annoying” on social media.

“Your voice is long haul,” replied Alan. “I wonder how many miles your voice has flown?”

Arguably still not as much as the song has been played.
