Was Love Actually filmed in No.10 Downing Street?

In the film, Prime Minister David (played by Hugh Grant) falls in love with a woman called Natalie (played by Martine McCutcheon) when she begins working for him at Downing Street.

The film's producers were granted some supervised access to the iconic London location.

However, most of the scenes set in 10 Downing Street, were not actually shot on location but at Shepperton Studios in Surrey.

This is where sets were used to recreate the look of the iconic home.

Meanwhile, Love Actually director Richard Curtis previously revealed how Hugh hated filming the movie's iconic dance scene.

During the film, his character dances around his Downing Street home to Jump.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Richard revealed the truth: "[Hugh] was hugely grumpy about it.

"The fault line was the dance, because there was no way he could do that in a prime ministerial manner.

"He kept on putting it off, and he didn’t like the song — it was originally a Jackson 5 song, but we couldn’t get it — so he was hugely unhappy about it.

"We didn’t shoot it until the final day and it went so well that when we edited it, it had gone too well, and he was singing along with the words.

"When you edit a dance sequence like that, it’s going to be a third of the length, and the bit he’s singing the words to isn’t going to be the bit of that moment, so it was incredibly hard to edit."

We can’t forget Mark’s (played by Andrew Lincoln) declaration of cue card love for his best friend's new wife, Juliet (played by Keira Knightley).

The iconic scene was filmed outside 27 St Luke’s Mews in Notting Hill.

Although the road is public and visiting the street is an easy task, the council has had to ask people not to turn up and take pictures as tourists tend to create disturbance for the residents.

One of the most heartwarming love stories in Love Actually is when Daniel (played by Liam Neeson) and his stepson Sam (played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster) have a deep conversation about love next to the Thames.

In the scene, the pair are sat on a bench in front of Gabriel's Wharf on South Bank.

If you want to find the exact bench, it is located outside The Wharf Restaurant at 56 Upper Ground, SE1 9PP.

Peter and Juliet’s wedding

Peter (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Juliet’s (Keira Knightley) wedding in the film did in fact take place in a church.

The pair tied the knot in Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair on South Audley Street.

If you fancy yourself a Love Actually wedding, the church still hosts weddings there.

Fun fact, actress Keira was closer in age Thomas Brodie-Sangster, than her on-screen husband.

They were both teenagers, with her being 18 at the time of filming and Thomas being 13.

Actor Chiwetel who plays her groom Peter was 26.
