Sir David Jason has denied a feud with co-star Nicholas Lyndhurst, as he lifted the lid on backstage secrets from the show.

The veteran sitcom actor, 83, was propelled to stardom after landing the part of Del Boy in the hit BBC comedy Only Fools and Horses where he starred alongside Nicholas, who played his hapless younger brother Rodney Trotter. They played their characters from 1981 until 2003 when the show concluded.

After claims the pair clashed during their time on the show, the 83-year-old actor has since set the record straight. Jason says that he and Nicholas are 'good friends'. "You couldn’t have had a better co-partner than Nic. We liked and respected each other so much, we were genuinely good friends" he expressed.

Some of their sitcom's most memorable episodes include 'Time on Our Hands' and 'The Jolly Boys' Outing.' Watching the comedy on Christmas Day has become a tradition in most households, with most people looking forward to popping on a festive episode after carving the turkey. The popular show, written by the show's creator John Sullivan, has garnered a dedicated fanbase since it first aired on our screens.
