DUMPY dictator Kim Jong-un has launched a low calorie beer to help his booze-loving citizens watch their waistlines.
The North Korea despot is a fan of imported French cheeses and Johnnie Walker whisky.
But most of his subjects can only afford beer or a rice grog called soju.
Now North Korea’s state-run brewery has a new low-calorie version of its Taedonggang beer.
One expert said it was to help satisfy demand for light beer among weight-conscious citizens.

The beer has “low sugar content and calories” and is “very effective for sports enthusiasts and people with overweight bodies”, according to the Choson Sinbo, a pro-Kim outlet in Japan with close ties to the regime.
It reported that the new light beer, the eighth variety offered by the brewer is growing in popularity among North Koreans.
Rowan Beard of Young Pioneer Tours, which runs trips to the state, told NK News: “There is an outspoken demand for a beer that can avoid men putting on weight in North Korea.”
Taedonggang Brewing Company was established in 2001 — after the country purchased and dismantled a former English brewery in Wiltshire and reassembled it in Pyongyang.
