Julian Alvarez insists he is 'very happy' at Manchester City despite reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
The World Champion for both club and country scored twice in City's Club World Cup final win over Fluminense on Friday, as well as adding an assist. Despite playing most of City's games this season, he only plays in his natural position as striker when Erling Haaland is not available or rested.
Alvarez has attracted interest from other clubs and has been linked with a transfer. Real Madrid have been mentioned as a potential destination for the 23-year-old. However, after the Club World Cup final, Alvarez expressed his happiness at City and his intention to keep winning trophies at the Etihad.
"The truth is that I am very happy at Manchester City," he said. "I have been at the club for a little more than a year. I feel very happy with everything we have achieved."
"Last season and from the first moment they have helped me a lot. I have grown a lot as a player, as a person, so in terms of that, I am happy at the club. And obviously one continues to dream and continues to want to win more titles. Now our goal is to win them all over again!"

"To be - in a short time - world champion with the club and with the Argentinian national team is a source of pride," he added. "It is something that I've dreamed of dreams of since childhood and having achieved this gives me a lot of satisfaction.
"The truth is that I have achieved the most important titles that a player can achieve and at only 23 years old. But my mentality is to continue doing it this way, to do what I love, to play football and what makes me happy is being on the field.
"And obviously you have to compete to win. And the desire now is to continue doing the same and try to win [these titles] again, because the feeling of having achieved all these things is very nice."
