Familiar faces from The Great British Bake Off's past returned to the iconic tent for a second chance at winning the show.

Fans watched George, Sophie, Dan, Ameila, Linda and Carole all put their aprons back on.

For the first round, each baker was tasked with creating festive mince pies, which would be decorated with their own touch.

As Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith and Alison Hammond made their way to Linda, she revealed she would finish her pies off with snowmen on top.

This Morning star Alison, 48, asked if they would be flat or 3D and was left overjoyed when Linda confirmed they would in fact be three dimensional.

But Paul, 57, exclaimed: "3D?!"

Clapping back, Alison explained: "Yeah when it actually looks like a little snowman."

Paul's sneering provoked the presenter to snap: "Just shut your face."

The playful exchange then left both stars in fits of laughter as Prue, 83, watched on.

The Great British Bake Off is available to catch up now on Channel 4 online.
