Jeff Stelling and Chris Kamara will be reuniting after the iconic Sky Sports presenter confirmed the launch of a new podcast.

The pair are renowned for their working relationship on Soccer Saturday, where they regularly amused viewers with comical moments. But after 24 years on the show, 'Kammy' stepped away in 2022, and later publicly admitted to having been diagnosed with speech apraxia.

Stelling meanwhile, opted to leave Sky at the end of the 2022/23 football season, and has since taken a role as a morning presenter in talkSPORT. And in announcing the venture, the pair poked fun at one of their most infamous exchanges live on air.

It dates back to April 2010, when Stelling opted to go to Stelling at Fratton Park so he could inform viewers about a red card in the game between Portsmouth and Blackburn. But Kamara hadn't realised home player Anthony Vanden Borre had been sent off, and the clip has subsequently gone down in football folklore.

And in a promotional video posted on social media, Stelling mimics the conversation by saying: "There's a brand new podcast out there, but for who Chris Kamara?

Just like he did 13-and-a-half years ago, the 66-year-old replied: "I don't know Jeff, is there? I must have missed that." Stelling then gives fans an overview of what's in store.

"Yes there's a brand new podcast, 'Football's Greatest', presented by me, where I talk to some of the greatest players and managers, and you're on it too Kammy." And the programme is set to get up and running next week.

"Yes, Football's Greatest with me Jeff Stelling," he added. "It's available from January 9 on all podcast platforms and on YouTube." Kamara responded with his famous "Unbelievable Jeff" line.

The podcast has already advertised Paul Merson, James Milner, and Geoff Hurst as upcoming guests. Stelling, 68, has also vowed to go "beyond the headlines to uncover the stories that define the beautiful game."
