AN ICONIC British cricket ground has been left completely under water.
That’s after it was flooded during Storm Henk this week.
Strong winds and rain caused havoc around the country after New Year celebrations ended.
Major roads were closed and some houses evacuated as 322 flood warnings were put in place.
And various sports were also affected by the chaos caused by Henk.

Huntingdon racecourse was left under an ocean of water to cause major fixture worries.
But it was not not just horse racing affected by the bad weather.
Worcestershire Cricket Club saw their New Road ground also hit by flash floods.
The 5,500-seater arena is one of the oldest around, having been built in 1896.
New Road has played host to three men’s One Day Internationals, with the last coming in 1999.

But its location on the west side of the River Severn makes it a flood risk.
The ground took on three feet of water during heavy rain in 2019.
And the iconic river burst its banks again this week, leaving New Road swimming in extreme levels of water.
Luckily for cricket fans, Worcestershire’s next home game isn’t until April 19 against Durham – giving the field plenty of time to dry out.

But supporters were still blown away by the incredible sight.
One said: “Good job it’s not the cricket season!”
Another declared: “Might still take spin.”
One noted: “I think that pitch will favour the swing attack.”
Another added: “Looks a little damp.”
