FANS were left stunned at Gianni Infantino’s bold outfit, with some even comparing him to a Star Wars villain.
The Fifa president made a bold fashion statement as he announced several big fixtures for the 2026 World Cup.

Yesterday’s announcements included confirmation that the iconic Estadio Azteca will hold the opening match of the tournament.

But the biggest talking point yesterday was Infantino’s outfit.
The Fifa chief, president since 2016 after replacing Sepp Blatter, decided to opt for a bizarre hoodie and shirt combo.
The beige top matched the colour of his trousers.
And he completed the look by throwing a beige suit jacket over the hoodie.

Infantino attempted to keep things casual by leaving the hoodie and jacket unzipped.
But some cheeky supporters reckoned this made him look like movie baddie Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars series.
One said: “He is a Sith.”
Another declared: “He is the most Star Wars baddie-looking fella ever.”
