Christian Eriksen has held talks with Galatasaray over a potential transfer away from Manchester United, with the Turkish transfer window open still open until later this week.
Eriksen, 31, joined the Red Devils on a free transfer from Brentford in the summer of 2022 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances under Erik ten Hag.
The Denmark international has started just three matches in the Premier League since mid-November, though, due to a combination of injuries and the emergence of midfield prodigy Kobbie Mainoo.
The winter transfer window for English clubs shut last week with United opting against making any signings. A handful of fringe players did depart - and Eriksen could join them with Turkish clubs still able to sign players until February 9.
According to Fotomac, Galatasaray have held 'secret talks' with United and Eriksen over a potential loan deal for the playmaker. The deal would include an option to make the switch permanent in the summer.
Premier League odds and betting tipsThe report goes on to outline that if the clubs cannot strike an agreement for Eriksen to join before the Turkish deadline later this week than a "promise" will be made ahead of a summer move.
Eriksen's current contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2025 but the former Tottenham and Inter Milan star hinted back in October that he wasn't totally happy with his standing in the squad after being dropped by Ten Hag.

“I think you should ask the coach what he thinks," Eriksen told Danish outlet Ekstrabladet when he was asked about his absence from the team. “We have been hit hard by injuries in defence. We have simply conceded too many goals. I was sick last week, but I’m doing fine. I don’t have any flaws. The body feels good and of course I want to play every game.
“But if you have seen the matches yourself, you may also see that [Ten Hag] plays with slightly different types than me,” he added shortly before competing in a round of Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Mainoo, 18, has enhanced his growing reputation with a number of fine displays in recent weeks and started alongside Casemiro in Sunday's 3-0 win over West Ham. Scott McTominay, who came in the match, has also leapfrogged Eriksen in the Old Trafford pecking order.
