Abbie Quinnen has hit out at her ex AJ Pritchard blasting their relationship "pretty traumatising".
The Strictly Come Dancing star and model dated for three years before AJ "dumped" Abbie after she found messages from another woman. At the time of their split, Abbie claimed that she and the professional dancer had discussed marriage before he suddenly told her he wasn't in love with her anymore.
On Tuesday, Abbie asked her Instagram followers to send in questions as she updated her fans on her life. One asked: "How's the love life?" To which Abbie replied: "Not the greatest not going to lie I was pretty traumatised after my last relationship.
"Find it hard to trust people! And I tend to go for all the red flags so need someone to find someone for me. I don't trust my judgement."
Abbie and AJ split in September 2022, with the model claiming she found text messages from another woman on his phone despite their three year romance. Speaking to The Sun about her relationship breakdown, Abbie told: “I’m completely devastated and my world has fallen apart. AJ isn’t the person I thought he was, after everything I went through with him I thought we would be together forever.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7st“He has been the biggest disappointment to me. This has knocked my confidence after my accident and I need to rebuild myself now. AJ was my world and I didn’t recognise the guy who was breaking up with me."
Abbie went on: "I kept asking him about the girl from the messages, but from the moment I brought her up he completely changed. Just a few weeks back AJ and I went on a romantic holiday to Turkey, it was so lovely."
AJ moved on from Abbie with Zara Zoffany after they met while filming MTV show The Challenge but their romance was said to have fizzled out weeks later. Model Abbie has been through a difficult few years after sustaining three-degree burns when a TikTok tutorial went wrong in 2021.
Abbie and her then-boyfriend AJ had been attempting to transform a wine bottle into a vase by wrapping rope around it, which had been dipped in chemicals. This was then set on fire, engulfing Abbie.
She initially underwent three skin grafts and has since received further treatment following the accident. Speaking about her burns on Instagram, a year after the accident, she said: "I’m 24 years old and I have to live like this for the rest of my life with these burn scars on my body!"
Sharing photos of her bandages during the healing process, she added: "My scars are something I am proud of and should be more proud of as they show me every day how strong I am It has taken me a long time to accept that, but I think I am getting there.
"But I know I haven’t finished my treatments yet, there are other options and most importantly scars don’t define you. I would love to say I am fully recovered but unfortunately I’m not and probably never will be as I know I’m going to have lifelong scars."
