GERWYN PRICE has slammed the conditions at the Players Championship as "pathetic".
The Welshman withdrew from the PDC tournament in Wigan midway through his match with Brendan Dolan.
Price, 38, had already beaten the likes of Karel Sedlacek and Matthew Dennant before the third round.
Despite appearing in good form, he decided to call it quits as he was 4-2 down to Dolan.
Price took to social media to explain his withdrawal as he slammed the "amateur" conditions at the Robin Park Tennis Centre.

He wrote: "Absolutely pathetic conditions.
"Travel all the way to Wigan to play in a professional game and we have to play in less than amateur conditions.
"Never have I ever given a game up.
"Well, that's me out to tomorrow as well.
"Gutted because my game was really good today and I rely on these events so much."

Price's comments were down to him feeling that it was too cold in the venue.
The Darts Regulation Authority could decide to punish him for his outburst and for quitting his match.
Meanwhile, in the Premier League Darts table, Price is currently fourth.

He has picked up three points and is only behind the likes of Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Michael Smith.
The Players Championship is the first opportunity for darts stars to earn points towards their world rankings since the Ally Pally extravaganza of the World Champs.
The World Series and Premier League Darts do not count towards player's rankings.
