Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz showered his girlfriend and fellow Villa forward Alisha Lehmann with gifts on Valentine's Day.
Lehmann, who is the most followed female footballer in the world, shared photos of the occasion on her Instagram, showcasing Luiz's unheralded penchant for romance.
Indeed, the 25-year-old followed the ultimate Valentine's Day blueprint to the utmost as he started the day off by sending the Switzerland international a teeming bouquet of gorgeous red roses.
But the amorous gestures would not end there, with the couple going out for a celebratory drink later in the evening as neither had mid-week responsibilities. It was before he surprised Lehmann with a stunning necklace.
Lehmann, who joined Villa in 2021 and in August extended her stay in the Midlands until 2026, seemed to have no idea that the Brazil international had another gift lined up as they spoke to each other on camera.

That was until Luiz said to the camera: "Now my girlfriend [will] open the present. Let's see if she likes or not!" Lehmann added: "I'm so excited!" before declaring "I love you so much".
The couple's latest photos together come after Lehmann shared snaps of the two celebrating her birthday at the turn of the year, sparking rumours that their relationship had rekindled following a reported split in November 2022. But the latest displays of affection between the couple seem to offer further evidence that the romance is right on track between the Villa stars.
