JUST three per cent of voters think Sir Keir Starmer has successfully tackled anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.

The bombshell survey for The Times came as it emerged anti-Jewish racism incidents linked to Labour ballooned in 2023.

Figures from Jewish charity the Community Security Trust show 45 cases were tied to the under-fire Opposition party — a 28 per cent rise on 2022.

But Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves insisted Sir Keir “has not let the Jewish community down” in the Rochdale by-election row.

She claimed he acted “swiftly” to withdraw support for candidate Azhar Ali and suspend wannabe MP Graham Jones after their Israel-Hamas comments.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism accused Labour of “trying to shift attention” from Mr Ali, who said Israel purposely allowed the October 7 attacks.

Ms Reeves said: “We can’t see everything everywhere, but when we do see evidence of antisemitism, we act swiftly.

“I only returned to the shadow cabinet because I was sure of Keir Starmer’s commitment to that.

“And he hasn’t let me down, he hasn’t let the Jewish community down.”

A spokesperson said: “The questions remain: who else was at that meeting, what else was said, and who else knew, and why did nobody act?

“Labour must continue to put a line in the sand and declare that it will not tolerate extremist views. It is the least that we should be able to expect from all our political parties.”

Craig Tracey MP, Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, said: “Despite Sir Keir’s many promises to root out this horrific culture, bigotry and vile antisemitic hate are clearly still running rife under his watch.

"His party is rotten to the core.

“The buck stops with him. When will he finally get a grip?”

Next week Sir Keir is set to face another headache with the SNP forcing a vote calling for an “immediate ceasefire” in Israel and Gaza.

A similar vote last year triggered ten Labour frontbench nominations.
