In 2023, Deadline announced that Tapper and Bash would moderate CNN's 2024 GOP Iowa debate on January 21.

Who is Jake Tapper’s wife, Jennifer Brown?

Tapper met Jennifer Brown at Hotel Fort Des Moines in Iowa while covering a John Kerry campaign event for the caucus in 2004.

Brown was raised in Missouri and she was born in 1977. When she and Tapper met, she was working in Washington D.C.

She told the Washingtonian in 2015 that she liked to volunteer with AmeriCorps and help elementary school children learn to read.

Tapper recounted the night the two met to Dartmouth Alumni magazine in 2016.

He said, "It was the day of the caucuses and all the big hitters flew in, so I knew I wasn’t going to go on. So my producer and I went out."

"When Kerry won, we said, 'Let’s go to the Kerry campaign headquarters because that’s where the party will be.'"

"And I walked into the Hotel Fort Des Moines and there was Jennifer," he added.

Tapper continued, "I saw her and I walked up to her and we went out the next day in D.C. and that was it," he said.

A former regional field manager for Planned Parenthood, Brown is no longer working full-time.

Tapper also revealed to Dartmouth that she had since shifted to working part-time for a group called Upstream.

They wed two years later at The Clubhouse on Baltimore, an event space previously called the Kansas City Club.

Brown described the location to Home & Design magazine saying, "We got married at President Truman’s old men’s club."

She added, "It felt very East Coast because of the history and the politics."

Tapper’s sister-in-law, Rabbi Laurie Hahn Tapper, officiated the wedding.
