A woman had a surprisingly calm reaction after winning $2million (£1,570,000) in the Powerplay lottery.
Instead of screaming with joy, Theresa Clark, from Virginia, US, simply told her son that she would have to cancel her hair appointment.
She won the draw on December 20 using 'Easy Pick' to let the computer choose her numbers at random. According to 'Winner and News' on Virgina Lottery, the win disrupted her day rather than causing screams of delight. She reportedly only failed to match the Powerball number 16, which would have won her an additional $1 million (£785,000).
On the day she bought her ticket, she decided to spend an extra dollar for the Power Play option at her local Louisa Mini Mart. This special feature doubled her prize from $1 million to $2 million (£1.57 million).

The petrol station she bought the ticket (Google Maps)The shop will also get a $10,000 (£7,800) bonus for selling the winning ticket, making it a 'win-win'.
"Powerball drawings are held at 10:59pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25." said Virginia Lottery officials.
All profits from the Virginia Lottery go to K-12 education in Virginia. Ms Clark lives in Louisa County, which received more than $3.1 million (£2.4 million) in Lottery funds for K-12 education last fiscal year. In Fiscal Year 2023, the Lottery raised more than $867 million (£680 million) for K-12 education, making up approximately 10 per cent of Virginia's total K-12 school budget.
