WITH her hourglass figure, razor sharp cheekbones and captivating confidence, actress Sofia Vergara is used to turning heads wherever she goes.
And while it's usually her talent and undeniable beauty commanding attention, it was her dramatic 'make-under' transformation playing Colombian 'Cocaine Godmother' Griselda Blanco that got everyone talking recently.
The Modern Family star, 51, spent "hours" in the makeup chair to become the drug queenpin, and looked worlds away from herself in the popular Netflix series.
Sofia - who has been spotted recently on dates with orthopaedic surgeon Justin Saliman - also recently hit back after being subjected to constant comments she'd had plastic surgery, telling Glamour: "I read it and it's like, 'She has done so much stuff to herself that she doesn't even look like her anymore.'
"I always want to say, 'No, it's called ageing! It's called f***ing I'm old! That's why I look different!"

Perfectly balanced features
According to the experts, the secret to Sofia's natural beauty is predominantly down to 'the rule of five'.
Rhinoplasty and cosmetic surgeon Onur Gilleard says: "The secret to Sofia's beauty is that her facial features are almost perfectly balanced.
"This is shown both vertically and horizontally - vertically dividing her face into five equal parts, each part is the width of one of her eyes.
"Horizontally, this ideal proportionality is shown by how her forehead matches her nose length, which in turn matches the distance from her nose to her chin - this is the rule of three."
"Besides this near perfect facial harmony, other specific features also contribute to her attractiveness. Her nose has a straight bridge with a defined tip, slightly tilting upwards.
"Her lips are also well balanced with her lower lip being one and a half times thicker than her upper lip.
Consultant plastic surgeon Aftab Siddiqui adds: "Sofia's high cheekbones are a defining feature of her face, contributing to her sculpted and elegant look.
"They add a sense of symmetry and refinement to her overall appearance.
"In addition to this facial proportionality, her well-defined jawline and high cheekbones only add further to her beauty."
'My giant boobs opened doors for me'
Sofia - who divorced husband of seven years Joe Manganiello last year - has been adorning our screens for decades and is praised for her comedic talent, with her role as Gloria in Modern Family really making her a household name.
However, Sofia, who has one adult son Manolo who she had aged 19 with her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, herself has credited something else for her global stardom - her "giant" boobs.

Speaking to Spanish paper El País, the star recently said: "My giant boobs and my body opened doors for me.
"They were my passport to the world when I was 20 years old when I started as a model, but today I’m 51 years old and I’m still here."
Dr Siddiqui says: "Sofia Vergara is often celebrated for her curvaceous and well-proportioned figure.
"Her confidence and embrace of her natural shape have made her a positive role model for many, challenging conventional beauty standards and promoting body positivity."
Make-under transformation
Which makes Sofia's transition into drug lord Griselda even more remarkable, with director Andres explaining: "[Sofia] wanted to feel like a different person, but not to the point in which the prosthetics or makeup took over her performance."
Dr Siddiqui says: "The transformation of Sofia Vergara's face for her role as Griselda in the Netflix series Griselda involved various prosthetic changes to alter her appearance.
"Sofia's makeup transformation for the role involved prosthetic eyebrow covers, false eyebrows, a prosthetic nose, and a plate of teeth to alter her natural appearance .
"The goal was to make her look as 'average' as possible, moving away from her signature features to embody the character of Griselda Blanco.
"Hairstylist Kelly Kline mentioned that every hairstyle for the role was deliberately made flatter and smaller than usual to make Sofia look more real and less glamorous, as opposed to her usual glamorous appearance."
Tweakment admission
As previously mentioned, she's strenuously denied having surgery but Sofia - who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the age of 28 - has admitted she hasn't ruled anything out - and there are some 'tweakments' she swears by alongside a thorough beauty regimen.
She previously revealed: "I do microneedling, little lasers for capillaries because I have rosacea.
"I do Botox in my eyes and in my neck regularly.
"Little things that I don’t need to sit in my house for a month because, unfortunately, I can’t. And products. I like products."
Dr Siddiqui says: "Sofia has openly discussed her preference for smaller procedures to maintain her appearance without requiring extensive downtime.
