THIS is the hilarious moment cops were handed a McDonald's order as they arrested a suspected drug driver.

Bodycam footage shows officers relaying the law to a driver whose car reportedly stank of weed at a drive-thru.

The suspect is told: "You're going to be detained for the purpose of a search.

"On the grounds that we've just come through and had a tip off that..."

But the cop is suddenly cut off as four "bad timing" coffees emerge through a hatch.

Left in stitches, the Cambridgeshire Constabulary officer quips: "Oh that's bad timing.

"That's bad timing and all."

He hands the cups of joe to a fellow officer while another can be seen bent double in laughter.

Sharing the video on X, Cambs Police said: "Bad timing when you're handed your @McDonaldsUK coffee order mid stop-search!

"This morning we just happened to be in the right place at the right time after a tip-off about people in the drive-through smoking cannabis.

"Always working, even when stopping for refreshments!"

It is unclear whether police arrested the driver following a tip off over the ganja smell.

But a video the 8am incident on Wednesday has clocked up over 5,000 views on twitter.

It is not the first fast food-related mishap involving cops.

Last year a couple who ordered a take-away were stunned when a police officer delivered it.

Jamie George, 32, and partner Nicole Dixon, 31, requested buffalo wings, Korean BBQ wings and chicken tenders from a local eaterie.

But the delivery driver was caught by police without correct insurance — so a Met officer completed the job.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary were approached for comment.
