Binky Felstead revealed her mum Jane is 'poorly in hospital'

Made In Chelsea's Binky Felstead has revealed her mum has been hospitalised following her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis.

The reality TV star took to her social media to share the news her mum Jane is in hospital due to being a "little poorly". She posted a photo of two bouquets of flowers and wrote: "Seeing @mummyfelstead who's a little poorly in hospital! Hopefully these will cheer her up!"

Binky, 33, then shared a sweet selfie with her mum, 71, who smiled from her hospital bed. Jane held onto the flowers and jokingly wore a cardboard kidney bowl as a hat. Binky revealed she had tried to take a bottle of champagne in to see her mum. She wrote: "… Well, mission sneaking champers to Mummy didn’t work today … always tomorrow hey @mummyfelstead Love you."

Jane was diagnosed with MS in 2017, after she spent 20 years believing she had fibromyalgia and had to watch her aunt go through terrible pain due to her MS. She told the Daily Mail : "I was terrified. My maternal aunt had MS and was bedridden for the last 12 years of her life, so the moment the doctor said 'MS', all I could see in my mind was a wheelchair. I was too shocked to cry, the tears came later that night when I went home and was on my own."

In 2018, Jane appeared on an episode of Good Morning Britain where she revealed she doesn't know what the future holds for her and she would never like to lose her dignity in her old age. She told the panel: "The reason I feel I don't want to go on forever - one is that I've got MS which kind of is slightly concerning about how I'm going to age but I'm fine at the minute and I'm not young."

Jane added: "So I reckon if I get to 85 and I'm still upright and able and valuable in some way - my grandchildren will all be in their 20s and my kids will be in the 50s or late 40s - I'll think that's quite a nice time to bow out. Because the next stage - and I've witnessed it - is for you to lose your dignity and independence and that would be the worst thing in the world."

According to the NHS, multiple sclerosis is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance. It's a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability, although it can occasionally be mild.

Binky welcomed her third child last year with her husband Max Darnton. Wilder was born in April 2023 and the couple were already parents to Wolfie, two, and their family also includes Binky's daughter India, six. Last month the TV star was praised for 'normalising' post-baby bodies with a 'mummy tummy' selfie.

Alongside a photo of her modelling a sports bra and shorts, she wrote: "I'm getting a lot of lovely messages from so many of you about my daily workouts so firstly, thank you for that! It's amazing how many of you follow along and are inspired. However, I don't want anyone thinking I've just 'snapped back' - there is so much pressure out there for us Mums and women in general to look and feel a certain way. And, I've been trying really bloody hard to get my fitness back to where I was pre Wilder."

Binky added: "So, I just wanted to show you my tummy which as you can see has lost its elasticity. I'm showing you purely because I want to be able to celebrate it. It is normal to have a tummy that looks different to how you want it to, especially after carrying three babes. I can't pretend I LOVE my new skin but I am proud of it. So today, as a shout-out to all our women let's smile together and celebrate our bodies. Ps I'm blaming Wilder."
