Sonny Jay and his famous girlfriend Danielle Peazer are having a baby. The Dancing On Ice star and Danielle announced the happy news on social media this evening with a gorgeous video.
The 30-year-old TV, Music and Radio star - who Britain's Got Talent fans will recall was a member of cheeky boy band Loveable Rogues and now hosts a radio show on Capital FM - confessed he could cry with joy over the news. He has been dating 35-year-old dancer Danielle since 2023 - with their romance making headlines when it was uncovered last August.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, Sonny teased the happy news by sharing a black and white snap of himself cuddling up against Danielle. He wrote alongside the snap: “We’ve got some news for you… I’m so excited I think I may cry,” alongside a string of emojis including red hearts and a teary-eyed face.
Minutes later, the happy couple set live a shared video post on their respective Instagram grids showing them kissing and cuddling - with Danielle sporting a visible baby bump. Expressing her own excitement about the news, the dancer wrote: “We’re having a baby.
"It’s a secret we’ve been keeping for a while, enjoying this little bubble of excitement and preparing for our biggest adventure so far. But now we feel ready to share this journey with you, including the highs (and inevitable tantrums) it will bring. Arriving Spring 2024."
Love Island's Ekin-Su 'pushed down stairs by crush' as she recalls bullying hellShe thoughtfully added: "We can’t post this without acknowledging those who may be struggling with fertility or pregnancy issues and are sending love to anyone affected."
The news was met with an avalanche of congratulations, with fellow Capital FM DJ Will Manning among the first to respond, writing: "there it is!!!" alongside a string of heart eyed emojis. Pop singer Pixie Lott - a recent new mum herself - also congratulated the couple, writing: "Amazing news waaaa congratulations!" alongside a string of red heart emojis.
Sonny and Danielle have gushed about their love for each other - and given fans insight into their romance with social media posts. Last November, Sonny expressed his joy at the fact she whisked him off to the Big Apple to celebrate his birthday. Sharing a string of images from their trip, he wrote online: "@daniellepeazer got me a trip to New York for my birthday this year as she was gobsmacked I had never been. WHAT A PLACE!! It was so so special."
And last year, Danielle made a gushing statement about their romance - hinting it had reaffirmed her belief in love. The dancer - who had a high profile on-off romance with One Direction star Liam Payne from 2010 until 2013 - wrote online: "After years of mistreatment, I learned that the reason I'd accepted so little from guys is because I hadn't put in the work on myself to discover my boundaries, find my confidence and also know my worth.
"Without even realising that I'd evolved, I met Sonny, and I didn't even need to express my morals, standards or desires in a relationship. He just gets it. He gets me, and I've never felt safety in a relationship like this. So much so, that I feel proud to share a private segment of my life with my online community, something I haven't done for years, if ever in this way."
