There's lots of tech out there to enjoy these days. From big TVs to smart speakers, households can have amazing entertainment setups at home for cheaper than ever.

And there's actually a way to save lots of cash on Amazon devices that many shoppers aren't aware of. The retailer has a 'Certified Refurbished' set of products, which are second-hand products that have been inspected and upgraded to ensure they're as good as new.

Explaining the process, Amazon said: "Each pre-owned device goes through a full diagnostic test, thorough cleaning and inspection, secure data wipe, and replacement of any defective parts identified in testing (where applicable)." The brilliant news is it means shoppers can pick up the same devices as the new versions at a much lower price.

And even better, a couple of the refurbished devices have seen their prices drop even further as part of a "limited time" sale. It means the likes of the Echo Show 15 can be bought for £157.93, whereas a brand-new device would be £279.99.

The Echo Show 15 is the biggest Echo device, with a 5.6" full HD (1080p) smart display and Fire TV, that's designed for family organisation and entertainment. It doubles as a kitchen TV, with users able to watch favourites with subscriptions to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, NOW and more.

It also has customisable widgets, such as calendars, personal sticky notes and to-do lists to keep the family on track. But with it being a flatter design, some users have said the sound quality isn't as good as with other Echo devices.

Another item included in the sale is the Echo Dot with clock. It's also been refurbished and is priced at £31.89, compared to the usual £57.99. Amazon says the device is its "best sounding Echo Dot yet", with "clearer vocals, deeper bass and vibrant sound in any room."

It also has an LED display that shows the time, making it perfect for bedside tables. There have only been two reviews of the refurbished version of the device, with mixed experiences.

One shopper said it "works like a dream", while the other was disappointed the product came with the wrong power adapter. If you are happy to buy pre-owned products then there are a number of Amazon devices for sale on ebay.

If you aren't a fan of Alexa, then Google sells a rival range of smart devices, including the Google Nest Mini Smart Speaker which is £49 at Argos.
