STRICTLY star Giovanni Pernice has had his say on the complaints made about his tough teaching.
The Italian dance professional was quizzed about his thoughts on the complaints made about his teaching that have made headlines recently.

Alex asked: "There has been a bit in the press recently about you and your Strictly partners. How would you describe yourself as a teacher?"
To this, Giovanni had his say, stating: "Well, I'm definitely a perfectionist.

He continued: "For me it's more about, I want to take out the best out of my partners.
"Especially if I see there is talent there. I want to do my job properly."
He went on to explain: "You train your life to be the best. When you're on Strictly you've got only one week."
Alex, who previously competed on the show, quipped back: "You would have cried if you were partnered with me, you'd have gone 'what's the point?'."
Giovanni continued: "You've got four days to create a new dance, put in the music and try and teach the technique and all the other interviews they have to do in the week. So, it's a tough job to do."
Alex then acknowledged the pressure he might face.
It comes after actress Amanda Abbington allegedly told pals their tense relationship in the latest series left her with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Whilst TV presenter Ranvir Singh and Faye Tozer also lodged complaints in past series over his boot camp methods.
Meanwhile, radio presenter Ritchie Anderson, who teamed up with the dancer in 2022, unfollowed Gio on Instagram.

Former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore previously said she was “broken” by her time training with Giovanni.
She said: "I was placed with a dance partner I was extremely uncomfortable with and in the end I felt broken, I cried every day."
Speaking on Private Parts podcast, she added: "What I didn't like was being removed from everybody and having to spend 12 hours a day with this one person."
The dancing expert recently joked about his ongoing feud with his former partner at his tour: 'Let Me Entertain You."
On Friday night Giovanni told the crowd at Guilford’s G Live theatre when Lauren Oakley, walked on stage: “Let’s welcome onstage a real hero, a person who made another person on Strictly Come Dancing a hero, who could not walk straight at first.”
Lauren swiped back: “I was very pleased actually….I got further than you.”
