A driver ended up in big trouble after allegedly trying to reverse down a motorway slip road having 'taken the wrong exit'.
Police in Edinburgh found the driver on the road during the night and made more grim discoveries when officers looked inside the car.
The Road Policing Scotland team said that the vehicle missed its exit and tried to reverse down the slip road to get back on the motorway. An arrest was made following the incident.
Once officers pulled over the vehicle further down the road, they say the driver had cocaine "on display" within the car and also wasn't wearing a seatbelt before supposedly failing a roadside drug test.
Writing on X, officers said: "EdinburghRP stopped this vehicle after the driver missed their junction and tried to reverse all way back down slip for the motorway. Driver had cocaine on display in the vehicle, failed the drugwipe and wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Driver arrested and bloods taken for analysis."
