Tyrrell Hatton's reported £50 million LIV Golf signing bonus is more than double what the Englishman has earned on the PGA Tour during his career.

Hatton is set to become the latest star to sign on the dotted line with LIV, with the Telegraph reporting the European will join his Ryder Cup teammate Jon Rahm with a cool signing bonus. Hatton is yet another piece of smart business by the breakaway league, with the 32-year-old one of the top players in the world.

During his playing career, the Englishman has 10 professional wins to his name, with his biggest one of the PGA Tour's highest accolades, in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Hatton's breakthrough win in the United States came in March 2020, as he pipped fellow LIV star Marc Leishmann to the title at Bay Hill by a single shot. In doing he won £1.4 million in prize money, and the former world No. 5 has only added to this since.

In total, Hatton has won an impressive £17.3 million ($23m) in prize money since debuting on the PGA Tour, but this figure has been blown out of the water by the LIV setup. Not only will the Tour winner sign a deal worth £50m, he will also get the chance to compete for LIV's £19.6 million ($25m) prize pots at each event.

His first is set to come at the breakaway league's opening event of the season at Mayakoba which kicks off later this week. Hatton's soon-to-be-announced move to the LIV setup will come as a shock to many, after he sounded off his chances of making the Saudi switch earlier this month.

Competing at the recent Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Hatton was quizzed on his future after his name had once again been linked with the rebel league. In response the 32-year-old admitted talks had been held, but remained content playing on the PGA and DP World Tours.

“I’d say there’s several people who have had conversations [with LIV]," he admitted at Emirates Golf Club. I think that’s part and parcel of golf at the moment but I’m quite happy playing the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. There’s a lot of people that have [spoken to LIV] and I don’t think there is anything to shy away from.”

Hatton is also expected to be joined by another European star in Adrian Meronk. According to The Times, the Polish star has agreed a deal with LIV bosses, and like Hatton and Rahm, is set to make his debut in Mexico this Friday as part of Martin Kaymer's Cleeks GC.
